On October 3rd Junction comes to gather local tech enthusiasts and creators for a day of hacking at Oulu with OuluES & Startuplifers! ⚡️🚀

Junction Roadtrip is a series of events hosted together by Junction and local co-hosts around Finland. The idea is to bring tech enthusiasts together for hacking and learning. The Roadtrip events include an IoT Workshop with introductory presentations by Junction and local co-hosts and the day will be closed with an epic Code Golf Tournament! IOT WORKSHOP
Do you know how to code, but hardware feels hard? Even the toughest coders might not understand hardware. In this workshop participants will have the chance to build their own low-powered weather station and code it to work over the Internet. This is your chance to improve your hardware skills in a great atmosphere while learning with others!

The workshop requires participants to know the basics of C programming language. 

PRESENTATIONS
After the workshop, it’s time to cool down with food and drinks! Presentations will include intro to this year’s Junction as well as other interesting topics. 

CODING TOURNAMENT
Last but definitely not least, the evening will end with an epic Code Golf Tournament. In the tournament teams will solve fun coding challenges within time limits – further information TBA!

JUNCTION
Junction is a student-driven community which fosters the culture of creating among young and ambitious hackers. Junction organizes annually multiple events which bring new and interesting technology to the hands of young creators. Junction also annually organizes the biggest hackathon in Europe!

STARTUPLIFERS
Startuplifers is a student-driven internship program that sends students from Finland to do internships in the coolest tech startups in Silicon Valley, Tokyo, and Shanghai. As a matchmaking service, Startuplifers connects the best talents in Finland with the top notch startups in the world by making introductions. The application period runs twice a year, and the selected batch gets training and support with perfecting the application, preparing for the interview as well as the visa application process.
